1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of pair.directory (the "Site" or the "Service"). By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you don't, don't use the Service.

2. Access

The directory is free to browse. You do not need an account or payment method to use the public pages.

We may limit automated traffic or abusive use to keep the directory available for everyone.

3. Free public reference

Pair is currently offered as a free, read-only public reference. We do not offer accounts, purchases, private downloads, or bulk access through this site.

The public Service is the website itself: ingredient pages, pair pages, modes, statistics, and the interactive explorer.

4. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. Violations may result in blocked access.

5. Intellectual property

The directory content, embeddings, mode catalog, and pairing pages are licensed to you for reference use so long as you comply with these Terms. You may not redistribute the raw embeddings, scrape the site at scale, or train third-party AI models on Pair output without written consent.

If you quote, cite, or build from the directory, provide attribution to pair.directory and to the underlying Epicure sources where appropriate.

6. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided "as is". We disclaim all warranties to the extent allowed by law, including fitness for a particular purpose. The Pair embeddings are research artifacts; do not use them as the sole basis for safety, regulatory, or medical decisions.

Our aggregate liability is capped at $100 USD.

7. Termination

We can block access that violates these Terms or the AUP, with notice when reasonable.

8. Changes to these Terms

We'll post any material change on this page and update the version stamp at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
