Acceptable Use Policy

Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and the Terms.

You may not:

• scrape the directory at scale or otherwise overload the site;
• reverse-engineer or attempt to reconstruct the underlying embeddings;
• resell Pair output as a competing pairing/substitution product;
• use Pair output to train third-party AI models without written consent;
• upload or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or hateful;
• interfere with the Service's operation (denial-of-service, exploitation of bugs);
• misrepresent Pair output, source data, or attribution.

The Pair embeddings are research artifacts. Do not use Pair output as the sole basis for decisions that affect human safety, regulated nutrition or medical claims, food allergen handling, or other safety-critical contexts. Verify with your own domain experts.

If you quote, cite, or build from Pair, visibly attribute pair.directory and the underlying Epicure sources where appropriate.

We can block traffic that violates this AUP. Where possible we'll notify and give a chance to cure; where not (active abuse, security incidents) we may act immediately.
